SkinScriptRX Glycolic Cleanser
This 17% glycolic cleanser breaks down oil and encourages cellular turnover to
minimize oil and refine pores to reveal fresh, healthy skin.
WHY I LOVE IT
This cleanser is REALLY effective at providing you with an even skin tone quickly. Perhaps a little too effective. It is also a great cleanser to use two weeks before and after a chemical peel to boost the peel's positive desired results. This cleanser is so effective because it combines the 17% concentration of glycolic acid with other hyperpigmentation superstars alpha-arbutin (a tyrosinase inhibitor), tartaric acid (an AHA that works in synergy with glycolic acid to aid in greater exfoliation), and malic acid (an AHA known for its brightening and exfoliation capabilities). Basically, this is an AHA dream team lineup.
THIS CLEANSER IS FOR
Just about anyone with hyperpigmentation issues just as long as they don't have rosacea, eczema, or sensitivities. If your skin tends to be extremely dry or your moisture barrier isn't where it should be, this wouldn't be the cleanser for you.
HOW TO USE
You know how I mentioned this cleanser is a little too effective? This is an exfoliating cleanser and it can be really drying when used too frequently. For that reason, I personally recommend using this as a nighttime cleanser and depending on other products/ingredients in your routine, it may be something that you use no more than 3 nights per week.
If you are using this cleanser in preparation for a chemical peel treatment, it may be suggested to use twice daily for two weeks prior to receiving a chemical peel and up to weeks after the peel has been administered.
